I Love Veronica: "What is the meaning of this life"

You suggested I start blogging about my zany adventures with you, so I thought I'd start a blog just for you. After 3 years of marriage, you've given me more than enough material to write. Maybe a book...actually, more like a comic strip. You're hilarious.

To celebrate our third anniversary together, we went up to Montreal over the Memorial Day weekend. You did a great job getting us up there, but the funny thing is...you got pulled over for speeding by a Canadian cop. He was very nice, speaking English to us in a French accent, but we still got the ticket. You said you would have kept on driving if I didn't tell you, "we need to pull over." I can imagine it now - within 30 minutes of your first visit to Canada, you are leading the Canadian Highway Patrol on a high-speed chase into Montreal.

After we got over that speed bump (excuse the pun), we had a great time in the city, visiting the Beaux Arts Museum and the Contemporary Art museum for free (Museum Day), going shopping in the endless Underground City (you found Inglot), eating Polish food in the Vieux (Old) City and Italian at L'Academie, trekking up many unexpected flights of stairs at the Mont Royal Park above McGill University, finding the awesome farmers market at Jean-Talon and getting poutine (gravy fries), getting bagels at St. Viateur, walking around the Botanical Garden, and eating smoked meat sandwiches at Schwartz' when we first got to Montreal...remember when we saw someone riding a random cow down the street?

We unfortunately got into a pretty big fight on our last day there, and you said I'm an immature baby when it comes to resolving conflict, which is true. We buried the hatchet in Montreal...which is awesome because we almost had round 2 when we tried to stop by Walmart to buy Canadian ketchup and got lost, but getting lost meant finding a better, more scenic route to the States, where we found a little town by Lake Champlain and dined at Friendly's before making the drive back home.

We both got tan, bug bites, and your calves are achy, but it was a wonderful trip, and I will remember this as another great anniversary with you. Thanks for adding to the memories.
