Being an Expert

I've always wanted to be an authority on something. Just about anything would work - coffee, baseball stats, gardening. But I fall into the "jack of all trades, expert of none" category, and am glad I know a little bit about a lot of things, but still, wish that I could have deep knowledge in one area.

Seeing you start out in makeup a few years back (my first memory is Charlene's wedding) and where you are know, I think you are becoming a serious expert in the makeup area. Of course there's more to learn, but you have a very real passion for it, and I think that's what's going to give you a lot of authority in this area. What I noticed from reading peoples' reaction to your FB page and possible blog is that they really want to know what you think, and would take your word for any endorsement, technique, style, etc. That's what it means practically to be an expert - trust. I think it's cool that you have that Vern, and I will always be there to support your passion and talent. Keep up the great work!
